We spoke with Yudit Martel, her Cafeteria is located on Calle Cerruda, number 26, near the Víctor Jara Theater in Vecindario. The specialty is the "Healthy Breakfasts" with an extraordinary cereal bread, poppy sweets, soy milk, skim milk and hundreds of flavors that you have to try in this special place that has twenty years of experience.

Did you start with zero euros in your pocket?

I started with very little savings. I was twenty-two (22) years old without all the training and aid that there are now. The desire was greater. On February 14, 2020, I am in business for 20 years.

How did you want your entrepreneurial project to be?

I wanted it to be healthy, nutritious, healthy and give my all. I discovered this passion when I was twenty-two (22) years old, and started alone. No help from anyone or anything. The people, the family ... they were not betting on my decision. My way of being was this. I like to share my day to day with people.

It makes me happy to make a good coffee, give you a smile every morning and that from the moment you walk through the door, everything is positive energy. Here the experience is beautiful, good, achievable. The whole experience is special. This is reciprocal. I get the energy of people who enjoy the taste of coffee and we both connect with all our sympathy, humor, affection, happiness.

Eighty percent (80%) or ninety percent (90%) of the people who come for twenty years, it is because they are comfortable. The raw material is good, of course. People come because we exchange the essence of satisfaction, the good experience. And since breakfast is the most important meal of the day, a coffee that looks at you happily with its smile and a good "healthy" breakfast in itself make you continue to distribute those good energies the rest of the day.

Eighty-five percent (85%) of people come for twenty years because they are comfortable. The raw material is good, of course.

People who enter the cafeteria for the first time and are giving away their stress, in «La Miga Amiga», with their good coffee, their healthy pastries, their cereal bread, their humor, their smiles and this climate of positive energies are transformed and, they also return looking for more healthy food and the experience of being comfortable and feeling satisfied.

What do you have in store for us this Christmas?

This year we are going to work the "Stölen", a German Christmas sweet and the log. Not the roscón de reyes, because we cannot guarantee the usual quality since we do not have our usual supplier.

Neighborhood is special?

In Vecindario there are still village roots and that is perceived. The families, the young people, they and they who came down from the countryside to build Vecindario under the protection of work in agriculture and tourism, is the Vecindario of twenty years ago, when I started the business. Nowadays we work with many colors and cultures. Vecindario is a place of roots and that persists here.

Are you always smiling?

I'm always smiling. Everything is positive. I turn things around, I look for the solution. In the cafeteria people come and breathe in pleasant aromas. They relax and come for the humor, for the smile, the energy. This cafeteria is almost an office. Happy and healthy consumption for the body and mind.

People transmit energies. Here, anyone who comes with high hormones is treated with respect, they are given affection and before paying, a smile is already being drawn on their face and what they brought is erased.

Connection, energy ... Those people who have a zero mood when they enter the first time, leave with a ten (10) mood and then they remain as customers. The toxic is eliminated. Emotional balance is important because I love myself and I serve them their breakfast, their coffee with the same thing that I feel for me, the food is shared in the months and I love to see their faces when they enjoy the flavors.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day?

Breakfast is a pride and a great satisfaction, seeing them eat breakfast happily makes me very happy. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, even if there are people who do not share it that way. I respect the way of thinking of all people and with everyone I learn.

What do you recommend to young people? What do they study? What do they undertake? What design your passion?

All three are good. When I was twenty-two (22) years old I needed to handle my boat. I never listened to fear. Fear will always be there, today it is still ... but I ignore it. Day by day, I bet on my dream and I bet on myself.

If you want to handle your boat. Do not be afraid. Today, there are more help than ever to undertake.

If you have a gift for people and know how to cook, do you want to open a cafeteria, bar or restaurant? Do you think it is difficult?

Today there are many aids, many. They just have to search. If they do, they get it. If a person feels that he can, he will succeed. Every day, with work and effort.

When I started I was a girl with twenty-two (22) years old, and I continue with the same energy, work and effort. It is not good for me to have a single day that is not good, optimistic and positive thoughts. Those who have reached where they have arrived, is because they have worked it out.

If only half of the things that have happened to me on a personal and professional level had not happened to me. Obstacles that I have had in my way, that have stalled me. It would be further away. My desires are the same. I trust a lot in myself. I resolve and get up every morning really wanting to work.

When I started, they only gave me an ICO and I mortgaged for five or six years. Nobody gave me the aid that there is today. Just a few years ago they started training. I was lucky enough to access training two years ago or so. They taught me that I have to go out of my business. Inside him all day I don't learn how to improve and change.

For the business to survive you have to go outside. We cannot be inside all day.

    I started working with her in a German friend's bakery. Time passed and Yudith wanted to move forward, experiment and ride something on bread.
    And he did ! Yes, she did! Today she is a great fighter, friend and hardworking woman. We don't see each other as much as we would like, but we always wish each other the best. And I from here from Germany tell him to move on and to be the same Yudith that I have known for 24 years. He has done a great job with that cafeteria that I was also in the beginning…. towards and need a cafeteria like that where you feel at home. From here many congratulations Yudith you are a champion and a great friend!

  5. I went to have a snack in the afternoon, even the spoon "licked it" because of how good the cut was. Also, I already brought breakfast for the next day and the flavors are a pleasure. What art you have, Yudit »yours is this, to make us happy any day of the week at any time with just a little bit of you ... a simple coffee, sweet or cereal bread ... and in return an immense pleasure in people.
